FAQ

KOLAS (Korea Laboratory Accreditation Scheme) accredited reports have international credibility based on the Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) between countries.

Hyundai AutoEver, as the first private vehicle functional safety inspection body (KI 182), issues reports that are recognized as objective quality proof data for testing products from OEMs and suppliers.

Confirmation Review : Confirms whether development workproduct have been prepared according to the standards.

Audit : Confirms whether the organization is systematically following the functional safety processes.

Assessment : Comprehensively judges whether the product''s functional safety has been achieved, including workproducts and processes.

It takes approximately 7 weeks based on the standard procedure.

The process proceeds in the following order: [1 week: Request and Consultation] -> [2 weeks: Preliminary Inspection] -> [3 weeks: Main Inspection] -> [1 week: Final Report Issuance].

Inspection body operation follows the ISO/IEC 17020 standard, and technical inspection of actual products is performed based on the international standard for automotive functional safety (ISO 26262) and the domestic standard KS R ISO 26262.

While testing is a technical test that only confirms ''the absence of errors'', Functional Safety Inspection is a higher-level certification activity that assesses (via an accredited procedure) whether the development process and workproducts comply with safety standards (ISO 26262) to ensure safety.
