Hyundai AutoEver Empowers Future SW Talents via Tech Mentorship

Hyundai AutoEver (CEO Kim Yun-goo) is actively expanding its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, with a strategic focus on nurturing "future tech talents."
Leveraging its identity as a "mobility tech company," Hyundai AutoEver operates several flagship programs designed to enhance the software (SW) capabilities of the next generation. Key initiatives include the Barrier-Free App Development Contest and Smart Mobility Training & Camps.
The Barrier-Free App Development Contest, now in its ninth year, is one of Hyundai AutoEver’s signature social impact programs. It invites university students to propose innovative ideas that improve accessibility for vulnerable groups. To turn these ideas into reality, the company provides mentoring, SW development training, and financial support. This year, 151 teams applied, and 8 selected ideas will be fully developed into apps by February next year.
The Smart Mobility Training & Camp, an eight-year initiative, aims to bridge the digital divide by providing coding education to children at local community centers. This year, Hyundai AutoEver selected 18 university students as mentors to teach subjects such as autonomous driving, infotainment, and smart cities. In return, the company supported these mentors with scholarships and career consulting.
Furthermore, for seven consecutive years, the company has hosted White Hat Hacker Training, providing specialized security education and competition opportunities for high school students aspiring to become information security experts.
A standout feature of these programs is the involvement of Hyundai AutoEver employees as "Pro bono" volunteers. These professionals contribute their technical expertise as judges, instructors, and mentors.
"We remain committed to launching diverse CSR initiatives that foster the growth of future software talents," said Kim Yun-goo, CEO of Hyundai AutoEver.
